Non-verbal Music Play

Non-verbal Music Play is a performance where children and families can experience music in a versatile way. The pedagogy is based on wordless songs and rhymes, making the activity suitable for everyone regardless of their mother language.

It is also suitable for those with developmental difficulties or motor challenges. In this approach, music is learned like a first language – first by listening, then by trying. Music and rhythm are sensed together through movement, repetition, and group interaction.

How to Find the Studio

Closest entrance
Use entrance B on the Läntinen Aleksanterinkatu side, near the Aleksanterinkaari intersection. The Studio is on the 2nd floor, immediately on the right. (No elevator at entrance B.)

Via the main doors
Take the foyer stairs to the 2nd floor, continue across the bridge, and follow the white floor stickers to the Studio.

Accessible route
For step-free access, enter via Kauppakuja (opposite H&M). Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, walk to the bridge across the foyer, and follow the white floor stickers to the Studio.
Music play is produced by the Culture Cooperative Uulu, the event is organized by Porvoo Cultural Services.
