A vast surface of flickering lights moves slowly just above the floor. It is a dream-like impression of rain, without actual droplets. Ninni Wager and Kristin Wiking´s work RAIN 2.0 describes the essence of rain staging a meeting between a water surface and plastic mat. When the plastic mat is moving on a lit, wet surface, it creates shapes that reminds of rain by staging a meeting between a water surface and plastic mat. When the plastic mat is moving on a lit, wet surface, it creates shapes that reminds of rain falling on water.  Our imagination fills in the blanks of what we cannot see. There is no raindrops but still we can distinquish a rain. The sculpture trusts the viewers capacity to find the familiar within the unfamiliar, and challenges our perception; what we see contra what we know.
