Porvoo Jazz Club: Sointi Jazz Orchestra feat. Mathias Eick

The local Porvoo Jazz Festival is organizing a concert at the Art Factory with the award-winning Norwegian trumpet player Mathias Eick. Eick will be performing with one of Finlands most interesting active big band Sointi Jazz Orchestra. The Norwegian artist Mathias Eick is signed with the famous ECM label and has published 5 albums. He has performed with artists such as Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and Chick Corea. Sointi Jazz Orchestra consists of a group of Finlands most talented young musicians and are known for their open-minded attitude towards music. The program for the evening will mostly consist of material from Eicks album Ravensburg which are arranged afterwards for a big band. The combination of these two unique talents will guarantee an interesting musical experience for the audience.
