Christmas Market at Taidetehdas
One of the biggest annual events held at Taidetehdas is the traditional Christmas Market, an essential part of Porvoo’s festive season. The Christmas Market attracts visitors from the local area as well as travelers from all over Finland, offering an unforgettable experience for everyone who loves Christmas. This warm and welcoming event brings together skilled artisans, food lovers, and visitors who cherish the traditional Christmas spirit.
The Christmas Market at Taidetehdas will take place from December 12–14, 2025. The event has become a well-established part of Porvoo’s Christmas traditions and plays a key role in the offerings of Southern Finland’s Christmas City.
For three days, Taidetehdas will be filled with over a hundred vendors both indoors and outdoors, offering handmade products, design items, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and festive delicacies. The diverse selection provides plenty of inspiration and perfect gift ideas — whether for under the Christmas tree or to bring holiday spirit into your own home.

The Christmas Market offers a variety of activities where children and adults alike can experience the magic of Christmas together. The event will be hosted by Suvi Hanste, who warmly welcomes everyone to create unforgettable holiday memories.
Saturday, December 13th, 2025
10.00 AM – 12.00 PM Creative Saturday Workshop – Gift Wrap Printing
The Creative Saturday Workshop series invites families with children to explore creativity together. This time, participants will make beautiful, hand-printed Christmas wrapping papers for gifts straight from Santa’s sack! Guided by art educator Pia Angeria, the workshop involves stamping festive patterns onto wrapping paper.
The workshop costs €4 per participant. Siblings aged 0–1 years: €0.
The participation fee is paid at the Porvoo Art Hall (2nd floor).
Location: The Art Factory’s Studio (staircase B, 2nd floor).

Santa Claus will visit Taidetehdas during the event, greeting visitors and bring joy—especially to children—with his warm Christmas spirit.

Arrival and Parking
Taidetehdas offers both an indoor parking garage and an outdoor parking area, but spaces are limited. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee parking for all visitors, so we recommend arriving without a car or using other parking areas located in the city center.
If you wish to avoid crowds, we suggest visiting during the early morning hours or towards the end of the day. Please note that Saturday is the busiest day of the event, attracting the most visitors. Plan your visit in advance and enjoy the Christmas Market at a relaxed pace!
